wink Anyone working yet!?!?

I dont know about you guys but here is geneva, new york we just got 19 inches of snow. Last week around tuesday when it was 64 out i rearrange my whole shop, finished servicing equipmet, and starting hearing the phone ring. Actualy got a call for a decent sized brick paver patio and then BOOOOMM out of no where 19 inches of snow! Now i moved my appointment till this friday. I know i am going on and on but i guess it just shows my anger with having to make a late start this year! My reall question is
Is your phone ringing?
Are you guys actually working?
For you guys that are not working when do you predict a solid start at the year?

Things are still kind of quiet for me. Got some small stuff booked, but i am working on some VERY big and lucative proposals right now and meeting with those clients end of next week.

The snow really put a damper on things. I think in general people are sceptical on the economy and everything. I am not worried about this year since something always comes up. I have a couple customer home builders i am meeting with next week, so we will see what happens with that. 1 of the houses that needs landscaping is 18k sq feet. So that could turn out to be a nice job.

Overall i am anxious to get back to work. Most likely i will start working april first. The snow will be gone next week, but everything will be a muddy mess.

We're lucky.

Every year the season starts about March 1 for us, sometimes earlier, but that's when the daffodils are at their peak.

Today... 79 and sunny. Dogwoods are opening up, cherries in full bloom, new leaves everywhere and hay fever rampant!

We're busy...

I'm from the Toronto area, and I have the same problem as you New Yorkers. We had snow very suddenly, just like you did, but we will probably start in April, most likely mid April. I actually can't wait

Haven't started yet, but phone has been ringing off the hook for the past two weeks. The snow has held us up at least until 4/1 and I am pulling what hair I have left out!! Last year at this time we had a couple patio projects done and 650 yards of mulch down.

Its funny this came up, I was just looking at last years info for this date and I started getting worried. We have allot of work to do, and springs going to be over before we know it.

Starting on an almost full rotation next week of cleanups. No plantings/hardscaping yet though. Ground is to wet and frozen in some places.

We got lucky and dodged the snow storm here in our part of MD and only lost one day to sleet. We were able to get back into full swing 2 weeks ago which for us was about 2 weeks later than last year.

The phone is not ringing off the hook but we have still managed to book out 5-6 weeks already. Everything has come at a steady pace this year rather than the massive onslaught (so far )

Spring is around the corner just coming a little slow this year.

Pruned mature Spruces all day yesterday until my arms went numb and we switched to cutting back Hydrangea.

Today while dodging rain drops I dumped some brush, met with an arborist, worked on a patio design, did an estimate and plotted maketing strategy with the boss, aka the wife.

It's gonna be hit or miss here until we dry out. The ground just thawed and the rains look to be frequent and drenching...
