Pool project almost finished

I posted some pictures of this project months ago, but due to this project being "pro-bono" at my parents, I took some time off it to do other things. We kind of worked this one in. We completed the pool and waited a few months for the retaining wall, columns and the fence. I will post some pics below.

there were several trees as well as a well line .. LOL that had to be relocated (by us) before the pool could begin

we had to haul the dirt off site, only to need more dirt to finish the grade around the retaining walls, space was limited so we stored the dirt on a jobsite nearby

we assembled the pool as we dug the pool, making sure not to overdig anything. this was critical for a liner pool

we used the excavator to place the vermiculate, (a mixture or vermiculite and portland cement used under the liner, it remains fairly soft, but stays in place well. eliminates footprints felt in bottom of pool as well as other reasons).

dumped the mixer in the bucket and swung it over in the pool.

all that is left is to install the liner, fill with water and "cut-in" the liner

we graded the site and we subbed out the concrete work. the contractor did his own forms and poured the concrete.

we had to pitch the concrete towards the house to get the pool high enough for the site. and to make sure no runoff got into the pool. this had been installed for 8 months now and works great
