Maple leaf stains on pavers
I recently finished paving a driveway approx. 3000 sq ft. I intend to use sealer but the weather has turned to cold. The homeowner has maple trees lining his driveway. The leaves have blown off and sat on the driveway and actually left perfect leaf stains in the pavers. I tried a little spot with effloresence cleaner and it faded them but there has got to be a better way. Any suggestions?

Try muiratic acid
Lowes carries it.

You can also try pressure washing the pavers. Vinegar might also work.
Good luck!

I have a paver patio with large maple trees nearby- the leaf stains will go away on their own after several rains- couple weeks. Pressure washing also works.
I am always leary about muriatic acid on concrete pavers. I have found it removes a thin layer of cement from the top of the pavers, exposing the aggregate beneath.

Some people would probably pay big money for perfect leaf stains on their pavers. To bad you didn't forsee this and charge them for it!

I've only used chlorine bleach on plain concrete - diluted about 50%. Applied with a herbicide type sprayer.
Not sure if it affects concrete or brick much, but never saw any problems. Only did it at our residence.

Thank you for the suggestions! the homeowner tried pressure washing but didn't work I will try vinegar first then bleach then muiratic acid. How do you go about applying ie. let it dry on or wash it thoroughly etc?

The muratic acid will remove the stains, but it will also remove the tinted cement from that area as well, changing the color of the bricks. I found this out the hard way in trying to remove rust stains.
A 50/50 mix of bleach and water in a pump sprayer will take care of the problem effortlessly and with no damage. Spray it on, let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes, rinse off. Stains are gone! Real stubborn ones may take 2 applications. Avoid doing this in the sun, the solution needs to soak a while to do its work.

Do not let it dry.!!!! dawn dish washing soap works too.... either way, you have to charge extra for it... with the harsher cleaners etc. dilute in a bucket and a scrub brush with a long broom handle works good. rinse frequently... rinse again... let it dry for a day or two and you know the rest of the story.
good luck

My two guys said they had great success with bleach cut 50 percent with water and a power broom. Some spots needed a second round to clear completely but they got it. Thanks for the help I appreciate it!

Do you think bleach will take this stain out? This patio is under an oak tree and had a lot of catkins laying on it when a heavy rain came down.

Is the deep brown the stain? It almost looks like everything but the vertical faces of the seatwall are stained.
