paver pricing

I'd just like to get some idea of what others would charge for a paver installation job that I am bidding.

The job in question is a total of 3000 square feet - 2700 square feet of driveway with an 8" base and 300 square feet of walkway with a 6" base. The driveway will also have three 12" drains installed in it and a total of 300' of 4" drainage pipe. The paver is going to be a 4-piece Belgard Dublin Range Fossil Beige (normally comes in 3 piece pattern but 1 large square is being added). My total material cost is estimated to be $15,722.

What would you charge for a job like this? (no demo involved - customer is going to have someone else remove the existing concrete). This is a competitive bidding situation.

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
I can't give you an apples to apples price, because we wouldn't be able to get away with a base of that thickness this far north.

Very rough ballpark if this were being done up here, we'd probably bid it around $35-45K...And then one specific competitor would probably come in and undercut everyone's price by 15k and win the job (how this outfit is still in business I'll never know).

Pricing pavers comes down to efficiencies.
How efficient your crew is at all the tasks required to install a project you described.
The equipment you have or rent will figure into that equation.

That job in my market, Phoenix, would be under $15 K, which is just labor and not any materials.

Keep in mind:

"you can't loose money on jobs you don't get"

Best of luck.

Peace,

Rex
