curved trex decks

Has anyone bent trex decking laterally to create curved decks? Have you seen the Trex ads showing the super custom jobs? I assumed it was all photoshopped, but I guess that those are real decks.
In the ads I see no screws on the decking so everything is attached from below. This would be quite a challenge to create a curved deck using a composite. All the plastics I have used have a torsional quirk about them, seems to have them lay flat one would have to build the frame on 12" centers. Joining the ends of composite planks has been a real challange. And finally, how would you taper the final outer plank to fit the curve? Whenever I sand the edge of a trex or other plastic deck, the cut/sanded edge just looks like, well, cut and sanded.
I'm sorry, but I think the Trex ads are photoshopped to death, giving the illusion of a perfect product in the perfect setting, but really, come on!

Agreed....they are simply advertising gimmicks.

No touch with reality here.

I am sure we have a ton of people that want a $ 100,000 deck.

I haven't noticed the lack of screw holes, but the ads are pretty nice. They do have an online manual describing the process of bending the boards, and there are some here that have done it. They describe it as being hot as Hades and having to work hard and fast to bend the boards into place and screw them down before it cools, and put in enough screws that the bent pieces don't buckle (probably the torsion you're talking about).

If I recall, the boards need to be heated to 160 degrees ti ebdn them. Fun stuff on a 90 degree day.

I think there is an old link somewhere in here about using space heaters and straps to bend the trexboards.

Thanks for the back link to bending the trex. I have a forge that would do the same trick as described in the link. Except it would go from 0 to 1500 degrees in about 10 seconds!
And yes, how do you hide those decking screws in composites? Iron and petex stick? Just like repairing a pair of skis that have made too many journeys off of snow and onto rocks?
Ah, I'm having one of those weeks. I need a flyrod and beer in hand.

Shure its fair! I just dont want to be subjugated with everyones opinion on my trick. See the thing is once I say somthing ,there is 50 good and fifty bad comments about it. If you want to know how I do it, well just ask and have your own opinion on it. Ive seen how sumtin I say will stick like glue on the net on such sites like lawn sites.com and whoah I posted that here? If you want my secret trick just ask. (havent had anyone ask either) Seems like a big fishing hole on the net sometimes. I like to fish too
