Holy Price Increases Batman!!

I've been getting price lists from my suppliers this past week and they are significantly higher than last season. My aggregate prices are up nearly a third, I don't have the brick prices yet. I'm going to have to do some hard work on estimates, and there's no way I can honor any pricing I gave out at the end of this past season. None of that work is in contract, and I did warn the customers that their quotes would be subject to increases in cost to me.

Has anyone else looked into your upcoming pricing yet?

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
I've only seen plant material prices so far, and it's been about the same. Maybe the others aren't sending them out yet for fear of the response.

We have not been sent the new prices yet, but we have increased our prices anyway, because the increase in the price of oil is going to pretty much affect every aspect of business.

Most increases we have gotten have been through the pumps, and they have been reflected through the suppliers we use of around 10%. Aggregate hit us hard last season, gravel I was paying $9.00 a ton for now sells for $14.00.

All I can say is make your price good for that week only and explain why. You don't have a crystal ball so if the prospect does not move you can't be held liable for product increases. Those will be passed on.

Our stone and sand prices increased by about 5%. I faxed in a plant list on monday and was told that I wouldn't get it back until next week because they are currently working on prices. That will probably be a 5-10% increase also.

This helps people make up thier mind quicker and helps the sale for the smaller guys.

The kits I use for my ponds went up about 35% I believe part of that is they are plastic, and plastic is petroleum.

Plants containers are plastic. So they will go up as well.

These oil prices are just across the board.
