Poured wall vs. Block wall

Went directly from a Permacon seminar (CDN concrete co.) to meet with a potential client about a retaining wall for his driveway. He's got a raised ranch with a driveway sloping downwards to his recessed garage, typical of many homes around his area.

Anyway, sounded like a nice job to do as he described wanting to re-do the driveway + border strip + retaining wall to eliminate the slopes alongside his driveway + new steps/walkway to the front door + new front lawn. However, as I broke out the new glossy mags from Permacon, he said he really wanted the walls and walkway to be poured concrete, and the driveway to be asphalt again.

I showed him how attractive a block wall with pavers could look, and he's going to hop on the Permacon website where there are over 300 pics of various projects to be viewed. But, I think he's set in wanting to go with poured concrete. If he does decide to go with a block/paver project, I'll be happy to do it, but otherwise we'll be limited to doing the lawn/plantings.

Wish I would have had the Permacon rep with me to go on and on about the advantages of block wall over poured, but I didn't... A few houses down the street was a driveway done with concrete and that's what he was after, wish he'd told me that originally.

Actually, aside from aesthetics what are the benefits of a SRW wall compared to poured concrete? From a customer standpoint, that is.

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
Flexibility is one - it can move without breaking. Another is water permeability - a big one when it comes to freeze-thaw time.
