Home Depot 0, upset by home team, 3

It was mentioned here or somehwere else about the threat of Home Depot entering the brick paver market.

We got three jobs this week alone, one at $2500.00 more than Home Depot, another at $4,500.00 more than Home Depot, and yet another for a full $9,300.00 over Home Depot. They offered financing, we offer pay as we ask.

I don't want to sound as the bragger here. What I do want to covey is that they sell inferior services, as all installers are subs, which is easy to out sell, and, the talent they employ does not have the capabilties we have beyond the products HD offers.

In one instance, there was a tight intimate space, with 4 elevation changes. We bid segmental walls as stepps, (Keystone Country Manor) they bis wet setting pavers in a verticle/horizontal fashion. With limited skills, inferior products, and the guarantee that whoever hires them is going to be placed on a longer than I care to mention waiting list, mismanagement of jobs, and too much disorganization, I don't think there is much to worry about from these guys.

Sure, occasionally, you are going to get JQ cheapskate who goes to HD and does not care about quality. But, do any of us want those types anyway?

I would have to agree 100%. Along with inferior services, they do infact also sell inferior products.

That is part of my point. I know one job I looked at would be one solid week with 4 guys, plus removal of spoils, plus plus plus. These geniouses quote near 5K under us on that same job.

They may be successfull on roofing jobs, which are for the most part cookie cutter. With what we all do, there are numerous variables.
