Hey mrusk, thanks for the reply. You've just added another reason for us to have a mini X. Nobody around here has one that we know of, so subbing out isnt really an option. The only problem with subbing out (if there was somebody to sub out) is a lot of times our irrigation ends up being done along with way with everything else and done in conjunction. Kindov dig as you go. LIke right now the house we are on the owner wants his back yard and the space between him and his dads house fixed by May 1st. when his dad comes back in town. well we have to irrigate all of it but the front and other side of the house is 2-3 months away from being done. And it would be just to handy to have it sitting there ready for us whenever we needed it for whatever reason.
We run into "phase jobs" as we call them all the time. And its hard to get people to do just exactly what you want them to do.
So far the mini x is a no go. But i did get a $1 raise today. maybe its hush money lol.

If you really want to show him what the mini ex can do, take that dollar raise and tell him to save it for 2-3 weeks and use it to rent the machine for a job!!!

Put your money where your mouth is!!!

I'm with GLAN. I really don't understand the bossman's reluctance to allow employee brainstorming and innovation.

You could demo/rent this machine for next to nothing, and see if it makes a difference. Why the hell not???

While he who pays the piper calls the tune, there should always be room for discussions on how to make (or save) $ in a good company.

Ultimately though, the boss calls the shot.

Not that I'm grey by any means, but I used to know what was best at 25 too.

Going senile?

Too much time dry sawing without a mask and earplugs?

Lonely nights?
