Appalling, simply appalling.

Lanelle is on a distinguished road
So until they find 4 new suckers for these problem machines, they won't resolve your problem? And these new owners will be happier than the first ones? I don't think so. And I certainly don't think this is any way to do business.

Exactly!

I don't think it would be advisable for me to talk any more about the problem with my machine, as it looks as if I will be taking legal action if the negotiations don't work.

Thanks Bill for the suggestion. I'm in Australia and I don't think it would work if people from the States were to gang together on my behalf. It also might taint the negotiating.

I will let you all know what happens.

Just an update.

I have had even more trouble with the machine. I estimate that downtime and maintenance costs me approx $20/hour.

Cheap isn't it?

BJR:

Trust me on this one. If the rath of this forum came down upon ASV for thier lack of responsiblity, and ineffective manufature of a machine that is marketed heavily in this country, they will act. See, when you are where you are, it is one thing. When 10 others with company letterhead write from around the nation and express thier concerns about why they are not responding to your machines issues, they will open thier eyes and something will get done.

The only thing that you need be is 100% factual, and accurate on every single claim you make, and that those of us who would participate in writing stick to the facts. If you can provide accurate documentation I am willing to model a letter, and, if some would care to participate in the campaigne, you will get results.

As a Cat stock holder, Cat user, and ASV owner, it sickens me to think that your issue could have been mine, or for that matter anyone elses.

We have effectively written against John Deere and Scag when they chose to ignore a product owners claims.

You can choose to be two things. A person who does, or a person who gripes about doing. WE all can be a part of changing how this industry looks at end users, as the service end of equipment is very lacking because the industry is so segmented.

So, I would suggest letting us have a crack at it or loosing that machine.

Hi Ho The Mary Oh, It's Off To Court We Go.

Bill

My only option is to deal with the importer in Australia. I have been advised that I am legally unable to deal with an overseas manufacturer. Thanks anyway.

We have had 4 different rubber tire machines. When I sold the last one I said never again would I buy another. I am a licsenced operator for crane, excavator, and bulldozer. I have purchased a multi terrain loader which is rubbertrack skid steer and it is the most productive machine I have ever operated. Before I purchased one I tried them all and the "CAT" was the best. Trust me on this, spend the little extra money and buy a CAT. ASV dosent have the power, john deere is to bulky and the other track machines other than these are not durable or reliable enough or no one can service them when they break .. and when they are down you are losing money. A Rubber track machine is the way to go for productivity.

I traded my RC30 and my old Bobcat 322 excavator in on 2 new Bobcat 323 excavators. Best decision I ever made. No more stress worrying about the %&$#@!$ ASV.

BJ! Long time no see! glad to hear you are going forward. And you can easily load those power dump trucks you have with the excavators and your off to the races.

Cat purchase ASV, so I was told today by the Cat dealer.
He sat ASV flat out had better tracks, so they bought the company.

So I guess you get the best of both worlds.
