Skid steer tracks & root grapple bucket

I am interested in anyone's comments about getting McLaren rubber tracks for my 2005 New Holland LS170 skid steer. I have some small demolitions coming up and am concerned about picking up nails in my tires. Mud is also a concern as I've been stuck a couple times in the past. Are the rubber tracks worth buying? Is McLaren a good track? Are tracks useless in snow?

I am also considering purchasing a root grapple bucket for the skid steer. I would use it for demolition material pick up and removing roots when thinning/clearing woods. Is it worth buying? Is Piranha a decent product?

If you know of a brand that would be a better choice than McLaren rubber tracks or the Piranha root grapple bucket, please let me know.

Thanks

I have a set of Mac Rubber Tracks for my JD 250....
They work great in the snow and mud....

I have them on rubber tires...I would reccomend the Air Boss tires for demo work.

The tracks are very heavy and add some good counterweight to my unit.

I also have a root grapple bucket.... One of my best attachments...

I had it custom made out of a company in NC.....

Very heavy duty and does a great job.... Just about 1000 lbs...

You should be very happy with both.

Good Luck.

4seasons is on a distinguished road
tracks are a good investment, you can go about anywhere.
the grapples we used for debris cleanup in Mississippi was the bobcat. worked very well for our application, whether it was trash or tree branches. We could also grade with it, but that takes a little finess.
