Bobcat Mt140

G'day Everyone

I have been very busy lately and haven't had time to spare.

I am now in a position to get rid of my RC30. I have been offered $3000 off a new RC30 and free extended 3yr 1000hr drive train warranty.

The catch is I have just found out about the Bobcat MT140.

Has anyone driven one?

And for those of you out there that have a Bobcat TM180 or 190 please share with me your experiences. Even if you want to PM me would be great.

Bill, I know your thoughts.

Your replies would be appreciated.

Cheers
BJ.

BJR:

Long time no see....Since you are in an RC-30 machine now, one consderation would be access. The MT-140 if I have my specs right is going to be wider. The other, is the Bobcat is a 4 limb operational machine....Just two thoughts....

With the issues you have had with the RC, I don't blame you a bit for checking out other alternatives.

I'd take the new RC with an up front agreement that if it proves to be as much of a lemon as your first one you can return it for a full refund and walk away.

From everything I've read, that unit is top of the line, so there's a good chance you got a bad one.

Probably put together on the day of ASV's XMAS party.

I have traded my RC30 and my Bobcat 322 Excavator on 2 new Bobcat 323's. When I think about it we don't really use a loader too often any more. We can move a lot more with the Avant mini dumpers than any loader of the same size. And we can hire one in whenever we need it. Because we only do retaining walls now, the excavators do the majority of the work, bulking out, footings, backfilling.

Hey BJR,

What do those Avant mini-dumpers cost and what are their specs?

I tried but couldn't find them on the web.

Thanks mate!

I will add to a thread I had on the mini dumpers to bring it to the top so you can read more. I think the web address in in it.
