Here you go Bill

This thread is dedicated to Mr. Bill Schwab, who we all know is the largest proponet of electronic devices in automobiles.

I was listening to talk radio recently and they were commenting on computers in vehicles. Statistics were as follows:

- 70% of all vehicle break downs are caused by computer troubles.

- The amount of hardware and software in vehicles doubles every 36 months.

There is hope however, since manufacturers are begining to see that their computer gadgets are no longer creating competitive advantages for them as they hoped would result.

Cheers!

Thanks Mac! I knew that was going to be what would happen all along....And another sickening computer stat....

They have been using computers on drag race cars in a class for some time now. The tree lights up, the cars stage, green comes on, and you hear this helacious sound. The cars launch, wheelies happen, smoke comes from the tires, and just about the time the next gear should be grabbed, the engines idle down, puase until the computer says go, then they floor it again and race to the finish lights.

What a bogus way to run a race car. They should ban the things from the tracks and let the real people with talent run head to head.
