Okay, so I'm a little late for this thread.......I've been away from the computer for a while. These Azaleas reminded me a lot of the 'native' hybrids that Tommy Dodd III has developed in South Alabama. Dodd & Dodd .:. Native Nurseries The first picture in particular, reminded me of 'Col Mosby' and "Jeb Stuart".....these are pictured on the website. Being from the southeast, I'm not familar with the Exbury hybrids that Tommy crossed with the more familar (to me) Rhododenron austrinum, but it seems likely that these azaleas in the pictures in New Jersey might be Exburys.
