Hamons is an unknown quantity at this point
Funny Story -- Lawn Customer called me -- she had gone out and planted 100 5 gallon Hosta plants and planted them herself.

I can only imagine how much that cost her --- I think retail #5 Hostas go for about $20.00/piece. Within one week the deer had taken them all to the ground.

She wanted to know how all her Hostas had lost there leaves so quick. I went and looked at them for her -- I explained that they hadn't lost their leaves -- they had disappeared -- must have been eaten. I told her I was surprised that she had planted Hostas since her property backs up to lots of woods with lots of deer. She said the nursery had suggested she use this spray on stuff. She showed me the little bottle of Deer OFF -- can you imagine spraying 100 Hostas with a little spray bottle? Plus..she was irrigating the bed every morning --s o she would have had to apply it everyday. It did not seem like the best solution. She asked if they would come back -- I said some of them probably would -- but that they would just get eaten again.

She was a little upset. We ended up using some other plants in the bed and they still look nice.

Another customer had real Deer problems too. She said they even come up on to her second story deck and ateher plants -- climbing up at least 15 stairs to get there.
She found that human urine worked pretty well -- but it had to be female urine.

She said she used to collect it and then apply it with a squirt bottle -- but now she just applies it directly after dark.

Now everytime I see her all I can picture is her squatting over every plant after dark drenching them in female urine.
