That's good advice....
When I have new guys on the crew and we go through my street for maintenance......I don't tell them........"That house there......that's mine"
They will figure it out one day........or the other guys tell him.
I have become more aware and more protective over time........ever since this one incident....some years ago.
I had fired a guy who had worked with us a couple or a few months......he wasn't working out. Several warnings.....then terminated.
I had him come to my home a couple days later to get is final pay.........well, he showed up on a Sunday with a friend that had driven him..........He wouldn't leave....after an hour I went out and kindly asked him to leave..........he refused.......half hour later I asked them again to leave.....told them that I would call the police.........Called the police.....Cops told me as long as they were in the street........nothing the could do..........yeak ok.
Well............I went back out front and told them I had called the police.....10 minutes later they left...........5 minutes later they came back........I called the police again....got the same response.
Well......after 3 hours of them being in front of my house........I called the police and insisted that someone at least drives by..........they were loitering at that point.
Turns out........the friend that drove the ex-employee was arrested for weapons possession......He had a concealed 9mm in his back
