lasting impress is an unknown quantity at this point
Ive got a New Holland L250 skidsteer (Gas, wish it was Deisel) and love it. We can get into places that larger machines can't. The bucket may be small (42" General purpose) but it beats a wheel barrow. It is also used for digging in larger areas and for moving large bolders. It will load anything our Cat 301.8 excavator. I dont think you can go wrong having a mini skidsteer as your first peice of equipment.
Now her is my delema, I am looking to purchase another skidsteer or Multi Terrain Loader. I am looking at a Cat 257 MTL(used) and a Cat 216, 226 Skidsteers. What is the life expectancy of the boggy and idler wheels? Does anybody have both types that can give me the pros and cons of both, and perhaps which they use the most. I dont want to make the wrong purchase. I know the Multi Terrain Loaders cost more, and the maintenance cost is higher, but do they make money as compared to regular skidsteers. Where we are from, we get a good amount of rain in the spring and in the fall.
