Just from your post it looks like you really wanted/need a smaller masons dump. Those F800's will eat up your money like there is no tomorrow especially if you don't have regular work for them. Also just because they are ex city trucks don't think these things are well maintained. They usually are but these are 17 or 18 year old trucks that have been in the Ottawa snow and salt for all of that time...driven by a multitude of drivers who don't give a darn because it is not their truck, inexperienced because they only drive them once or while or just learning to drive them Most of the municipal trucks (from hard personnel experience) are not the bargains they seem. When you start working on these old beasts you will find real rust buckets from the salt hauling, make shift repairs that were done because they knew they were going to auction soon and generally an abused piece of equipment.
I would sell them and buy a truck that is what you really need and can use. Don't expect to make any money on this because you were the highest bidder and if these were such a good deal then you would have been out bid.
With all the MTO rules and regulations these days there just isn't a market for old trucks anymore.
