Pelican is an unknown quantity at this point
My Cat 248 came with the traditional construction lug tire, Galaxy brand. They were good new but started to lose traction pretty quick after 1/2 wear. I squeezed 1000 hours out of them but they were smooth when I replaced them.

I do snow removal and wasn't real impressed with the traction in snow with the construction tires. This surprised me because I had plowed with a farm tractor with Ag tread and it was just about unstoppable.

With the two issues I listed I decided to try something different. I tried the Solideal Lifemaster SKZ which more resembles an aggressive truck tire tread. While I lost a little bit of performance in sticky mud (the cleats clog) I gained better traction in snow. In my operation I can't really work in muddy conditions anyway so it wasn't a big compromise.

This tread does less damage to turf, though you must still make K turns to avoid tearing the grass. I've got 600 hours on them and I'd guess I've got 75% to 85% tread left so they are going to last quite a bit longer.
