I have the Nextel i560 as well. It has a military spec and I will probably upgrade to the heavier phone.

Drop it at least once a day. Going on 3 years with this phone. I keep it in a plastic holdre that I can clip to my shirt front and talk on the radio and phone hands free.

Don't drop a Verizon phone in a pond though....
