Mac is an unknown quantity at this point
I have had two and didnt like the cut from either. My first one was a 48" 18 briggs. That one had about 1800 hrs when I sold it. I replaced it with a 52" 19 kaw. I sold that one when it had about 300 hour and moved the entire fleet over to exmark. My only gripe was that the discharge was not uniform and I simply could not get it become that way. Also, on tall fescue lawns it would clump pretty badly and no matter what time of year, the deck always had build up in the shape of baffles... since there are none. I think what it came down to is that the deck was not properly designed (as admited by Jim Velke) nor were the blades moving fast enough. Keep in mind these both were fixed deck units so things may have changed by now.

They were great on small properties and were very nice on the opperator. However, if it doesnt cut well, then all that is of no good to me. I upgraded the stander to a full sized turftracer and am very impressed. The ultracut deck is really something.
