I remeber catching guys putting poly, instead of pvc, but that was to cut their costs, illegally. PVC should be more durable, but in lower pressure conditions, I liked the flexibility of poly, and underground, it really shouldn't matter, in climates with no deep soil freezing. PVC will also handle more pressure, but I'm still wondering on this too, to the point where I'de dump PVC, on drip iriigation jobs, and just go with PVC on turf areas. But, thats a bit of a guess.
