We added the Belgian Block on the outside of the walk. The 'Little Bunny' Fountain Grass replaced some 'Gold Mound' Spirea that was choking the front walk.
We just finished this job, but luckily salvaged the sod we dug up and replaced it. That should score some points, and I hope some references, from the homeowner.
