Since it's forward moving only does it need to be fastened to the back too or only in front? Since we're talking bungees or rope I guess that the compactor doesn't try to "run over" or "leave the pad behind" too bad?
Mine is a private label (sounds better than "off-brand") so they don't offer a pad or even hints at how to make one. I will try our concrete plant for some old conveyor material though.
