Spring overseeding when apply crab grass pre-emergent
Okay... so I've always stayed away from overseeding or slit seeding in the spring when a crab grass pre-emergent was applied or needs to be applied.
I was watching a re-run of Ask TOH this past weekend and Roger Cook was with a homeowner de-thatching, fertilizing and seeding. The homeowner referenced not seeding with crab grass pre-emergent, but Roger said he picked a product that wouldn't effect the newly planted seed.
Does anyone know what product he was referring to? Have you used this and does it work?
If I do have to put down a pre-emergent in late March or early April, what would the earliest time be after application that I could seed with a pendamethalin (spelling?) type pre-emergent?
