Fungus Called "Red Thread"
Not considered one of the bad fungus problems a lawn can have.
Brought on by low nitrogen
Cool Temps 40 - 70 degrees
More than 10 hours of wetness for days
Apply fertilizer......it will grow out if the weather ever warms up and stops raining. Use a higher Nitrogen....but slow release, such as a sulfer coated or poly coated. Fert that contains Iron of 2 or 3% would be helpfull as well
Should conditions of low temps and continued wetness persist....then an application of fungicide will be necessary
