Okay, I'm confused...
We always build an "echo chamber" into the waterfall by creating a kind of acoustic shell out of the waterfall stone, directing sound where you want it to go. I thought this was just part of the construction process.
I've never done a "pondless" waterfall (personally don't like 'em -- can't think of a less natural use of water -- but that's just me) and can see where that might take a little extra fiddling to get the sound right with no water to fall into.
Please enlighten me!
