Have a contract where the buyer supplied base rock. It was dry so I wet it down first with the hose full on the lift. The whacker got stuck in the rock / fines mud stuff. It bogged way down and stopped moving. I had to push really hard to get it out of its little mud hole.
I told the guy to buy the rock from a specific supplier (3/4 under crush road base) highway approved. Welp he went aheat and got some jippo crush with not enough fines.(it looked good)?? So now Im stuck with crap base on what I assumed was a tested approved product and spikes go into it like butter. I dont know what the hell to do. Do I eat the job, refund the money or what? Mabye tell him he messed up and how i can use the base 8 in deep and just replace the top 3 inches in good crush? Or should I just say oh well lets see if it works becoase im not responsable for owner supplied products?(in the contract) Pavers go in tommorw.Mabye ugggh my first pave job gont south . Can i sleep tonight? no!lol got to love this buis.
