Asolo TPS 535 Mid Weight Hiking Boot
Gortex for dry, sturdy/high ankle for stability, not too large or sloppy, quick laces, lug sole, lightweight, etc. etc.
I usually get about 9 to 12 months out of a pair. I'm not laying stone in them every day, but they do hold up. They were better when made in Italy, now made in Romania (like when Vasque went from Italy to China).
I get them from REI for about $175.00.
